A Mission of Reconstruction and Reconcilliation
Rev. Charles Levi Martin, Pastor Unity Fellowship Baptist Church of Willingboro, NJ, has plans to implement a Mission's Trip to his native land Liberia this December with his wife, Jurudoe Ann Harris Martin, and 11 year old daughter Charlese.
The mission Trip which comes after 35 unbroken years of living in the United States, comes with great challenges, entheuisam, fervor, and hope. Already the three weeks planned trip is being built into a rapid marathon of preaching engagements on Christmas Day and Watch Night at Providence Baptist Church, The Cornerstone of the nation, The Thankful Baptist Church, Where his late father served as pastor in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County, Lloydsville, and the Jarrah ministries across the bridge. He will be visiting the Levi H. Martin Baptist School in Saniquelli Nimba County, and is making a herculean effort to raise enough money to reconstruct the monumnet of Ricks Institute in Virginia, Liberia. in December before his trip expires.
The Heads of three figures on that Ricks landmark of former President of Liberia, J.J. Cheeseman, whom the senior dorm is named after (Cheeseman Hall); former president of the Liberian Baptist Missionary and Educational Convention, Rev. Dr. Levi Hamilton Martin, his late father, and an angel; were all decapitated in 1989 when the Ricks campus grounds became a battle field. Rev. Charles Levi Martin is also collecting 'Toys of Joy' along with radio.lib to donate to Liberian children this christmas while in Liberia on what he calls "A Mission of Reconstruction and Reconcilliation." He would love nothing more than an opportunity to preach a message of Reconcilliation and Reconstruction to the Nation.
